CN BLUE attend signing event for ‘Holika Holika’
Cosmetics brand ‘Holika Holika‘ recently held a signing event with CN BLUE at the Shilla duty-free department from September 27th to the 29th.
The event was meant to congratulate CN BLUE on their major debut in Japan, as well as welcome international consumers who were visiting from overseas.
The brand put together a special edition package to commemorate the event, and the first 200 customers who purchased the package received additional gifts.
The members of CN BLUE were genuinely happy to greet all of their fans who came from China and Japan to see them, and even made some small talk with their Japanese fans, bringing out their much-practiced language skills.
Leader Jung Yonghwa remarked, “We just want to thank all of our fans who came so far just to see us and I hope that this experience will be memorable for all of you.”
‘Holika Holika’ has plans to expand, and will open a few new shops in October.

Then “One Time“, they release a digital single along..
In their journey, there were moments which left them with nothing to say but…
As time pass by, they gain love. With love, there is also pain. But with every wound they take, they “Try Again, Smile Again” asking us to please “Don’t Say Goodbye“. It’s all because of Kimio (you), that they are willing to undergo…
After receiving safeguarding, a promise from us, Boice that we will always be there for them, CNBLUE no matter what happens, they released something very special and meaningful thru a numerical code which will forever symbolize CNBLUE’s gratefulness and love for us. The “Man In Front of the Mirror” is not an “Illusion“, its for real… so, we have no reason to be a “Coward“. It’s who we are and who we are becoming…
(Likewise) A phrase that stands for “SanKyu To/Too”, for me and you, from Boice to CNBLUE, from the bottom of our hearts…

International Fans Show Support for "Heartstrings" in Internet Polls
“Heartstrings” may have trailed in ratings at home, but fans the world over have definitely fallen for it.
The MBC youth melodrama was recently voted “Best Korean Drama” on a user-generated page of the search engine site Squidoo.com. “Heartstrings” edged out “City Hunter” and “Secret Garden” to emerge in the top position earning over 40.5% percent of the votes from readers, showcasing the fans’ overwhelming support.
Similarly on a fan-created “Best of Korea” page on social networking site Facebook, “Heartstrings” won over “Dream High” and “You’re Beautiful” for “Best Teen Drama.”
“Heartstrings” starred CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye as campus sweethearts in an elite arts and music college. The drama was highly anticipated for the reteaming the two leads who had formerly co-starred in the highly popular “You’re Beautiful.” However, ratings stayed in the single digits throughout its domestic run, and ended one episode short of its intended 16 after hitting production challenges.
Even so, “Heartstrings” earned fans all over the world. The drama was sold in eight countries before its premiere.
Currently, Park Shin Hye is on hiatus and is yet to announce her next project. Jung Yong Hwa is busy with activities of his band, CN Blue, of which another "Heartstrings" cast member, Kang Min Hyuk is the drummer. CN Blue has just kicked off their “Bluestorm 2011 Asia Tour” with a successful two-night concert in Seoul on the past weekend.
[News] The Reason for CNBLUE’s Popularity – They are Musicians, Not Idols.
Source news.searchina.ne.jp + cnbluestorm
The reason for the raising attention to CNBLUE? Not because they are idols, but musicians!
“We’re not idols, but musicians!”
CNBLUE has not made their official major debut in Japan, they were known as an indie band. But, they already had an execellent reputation even before they debut officially (on October 19th). They started to get Japanese fans’ attention by Jung Yonghwa who was casted in “You’re Beautiful”.
On Sept 25, Tower Record Shibuya won’t hold the fans to buy CD even on early morning. CNBLUE last indie album “392” placed in visible place near the entrance floor. Tower Record’s staff commented about CNBLUE’s popularity “These days, CNBLUE gained very high popularity in Japan. Their album always sold well”. In Korean Magazine, CNBLUE is called “musicians“, a “group that compete with their own music”. Of course, they received a lot of appreciation for composing their own songs in their albums.
CNBLUE who was proven popular with around 20,000 fans even before their official debut, will leave their indie activities, and move on to mainstream stage under Japan’s large music label, Warner Music Japan.
On Sept 25 afternoon, CNBLUE held a concert at Yokohama Arena. “Actually we feel nervous to do major debut, but from now we’ll start anew so that we are able to show you our good performance”.
