It’s an article about Kpop.
YOMIURI  is one of the major national newspapers in Japan.
CNBLUE appeared in it on the first day of 2012.

Rock Band CNBLUE

We will find “our color” with our fans.

CNBLUE is unique because they stand out among the kpop idols that are mostly made up of dance groups, as CNBLUE is a rock band. After they studied the music in Japan for a half year in 2009, they finally had their major debut in autumn 2011. We asked these four men who are expected to grow bigger this year.
– Why did you study music as a band in Japan?
Jonghyun: In Japan there are many live houses and studio everywhere, so I thought that there would be many things to study. This is because two years ago, the live houses and studios are rather limited in Korea.
Jungshin: When I listened to Japanese songs in Korea, I felt that I wanted to go to Japan.
Yonghwa: I listened to m-flo and B’z.
Jonghyun: In Korea, I went to L’Arc~en~Ciel’s live.
– What kind of memory do you have during your studying days?
Jonghyun: At our very first street live, we had only 4 audiences. But rather than feeling sad by the small number, we were sadder because we couldn’t understand Japanese language.
Yonghwa: At that time we felt fun, we  just wanted to do the live performance, rather than to gain popularity.
Minhyuk: I had fun living together too.
– What kind of music do you wanna make?
Yonghwa: We want to express ourselves in various genres of music and sound as a band.
Jonghyun: There is no color of “CNBLUE” yet. If we limit our color, then it won’t be interesting for our future. I want to think about it (our color) together with our fans.
