The elite young rock band that has swept over Korea finally made the long-awaited major debut in Japan!
CNBLUE

We have various colors of music genres, COLORFUL is our musical color.
CNBLUE is the elite Korean alternative four-member rock band. They have had their major debut here in Japan with their  single “In My Head” that was released on 19th October. CNBLUE sold 100,000 copies of their first full album in Korea March this year, and now they have achieved the biggest popularity ever.
JungShin: “We would like to thank to all of our fans for supported us for the last 2 years we had been gaining experiences as an indie.”
The behind their success, there is the indie activities in Japan they continued steadily since 2009, including street live performances.
YongHwa: “That’s why we could make it, like ‘Let’s do it!’ When we first started the live performance in Japan, there were only 4 audiences. (laugh) But there were 2,000 audiences came to see us at the live performance we held a half year later. I still can’t forget about that.”
Their 2nd album “392” reached #1 in weekly indie chart in Japan. They successfully completed their last indie one man live concert at Yokohama Arena that was held on 25th September. They have been receiving a lot of support in Japan. The essence of American-styled music (王道・왕도) like MAROON 5 and MR.BIG condensed into those three track that are included in “In My Head”, also they showed the excellent work of the free and vigorous sense of song-writing in those three tracks.
YongHwa: “I think ‘In My Head’ has strong meaning of introducing ourselves as ‘This is us, our band’. We discussed about ‘what is our colour’ before. Our music has tones of various musical genres. So, we finally came up the answer with ‘our colour is various’. We want to play a lot of different music, and we can’t really decide it right now.”
MinHyuk: “What we talked from the beginning is not to play particular musical genre, but ‘we want to play together for a long-term even until we get old’. We want to play at as many live performances as we can and release as many albums as we can.”
What gives a vector for their versatility filled with full bloomed is the enthusiasm they have, “We want encourage as many people as we can though our music.”
YongHwa: “This time we have performed live concert at Yokohama Arena, it became clearer that our music and live performances are made together with our fans. We want to create great live concerts with them in as many places as we can.”
MinHyuk: “We don’t think ourselves as ‘Hallyu’ stars. We would like you all to see us a band.”
JongHyun: “We want to perform at more rock festivals, and also we want more people to know us.”
In My Head” is the fruit of their passions and efforts of those four young members. This is their big step, and also new start. There is such sound full of determinations.
