Male rock band CNBLUE has beat Big Bang, SHINee, and 2AM in physical album sales placing them solidly on the #1 spot.
CNBLUE has made a comeback after one year of hiatus in Korea, in which time their promotion was concentrated in overseas market. The band held a showcase performance for the press on the 26th and since have sold over 13,000 copies of their album in a single day, showing their powerful influence in the music industry.
On the showcase CNBLUE has performed the title song ‘Hey You’ and the pre-released song ‘Still In Love’ from the group’s 3rd mini album. CNBLUE has also performed the group’s Japanese major debut song ‘In My Head’ showing off their growth as musicians. Industry insiders’ opinion is that CNBLUE has gone back to the beginning and are now able to truly enjoy their performance.
The new album ‘EAR FUN’ sticks to the sensible modern rock, but like the title of the album the entire tracks are easy on the ears and avoid being too serious. The members of CNBLUE have also stressed that they are not paying attention to the competition and their only concern is to have fun on the stage and to make music that’s enjoyable.
CNBLUE will have the group’s first comeback TV performance on March 29th through Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’.
