[News] CNBLUE sold 40,000 copies of album in the fastest time, surpassing Shinhwa and SHINee

CNBLUE made their comeback after 1 year with the new 3rd mini-album “EAR FUN” and sets the record for the shortest time in selling more than 40,000 album copies and is continuing to have “terrifying” increase of sales.
After CNBLUE released their new album, they were consistently holding a strong market sales. The month of March was described as “war” because of the fierce competition in the domestic music market in between SHINee, Shinhwa and 2AM, that’s why compelling stuff ahead of their rivals such as attaining the record of having the shortest time to sell more than 40,000 copies or even surpassing them is significant.
According to Hanteo chart, starting from the released of their new album “EAR FUN” last March 26, they already sold 13,878 (#1), March 27- 13,375 (#1) and March 28 – 13,400 (#1) copies. CNBLUE also took the no.1 spot on Hanteo chart and in real-time top searches consecutively.
Meanwhile, CNBLUE’s major debut single in Japan, “In My Head” achieved a gold record with the sales of more that 100,000 copies, and was recognized by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Following the second single “Where You Are” which was after 41 years a band was included in the Oricon chart. The band’s overseas record achievements has become a big topic.
