[Interview |Trans] Recochoku Special Interview

CNBLUE Q&A
I gave them questions, and each member will answer it! Will we know their hidden secrets?
(x) This new song is written with a person who is facing hardship in mind
— Congratulations! It’s your first appearance in Rekochoku. Firstly, please introduce yourself
YH : I am the guitarist and vocalist, and I am the oldest…
MH : YH hyung has a leader’s charisma, moreover, he is also a very interesting person (laugh). I am drummer Minhyuk. My personality is… (I’m) a quiet and serious person
JS : (laugh) I am bassist JungShin, I am naturally positive and is the “mood-maker”. (I play a role in cheering up the others)
JH : Me… What kind of person am I? Someone please talk about it
MH : He is in charge of vocal and guitar, and is a hyung who is a little bit strange. Like a cool hyung who live next door, there is a sense of familiarity.
JH : And, I have my own pace
— YongHwa composed and wrote the lyrics for [Where You Are] , what impression do you have when you first listened to it?
MH : I think it’s rock and cool
JH : Feels like it’s the sequel for [In My Head] (Japan’s Major Debut Song)
JS : I felt that it was cool already when it was a demo, but after audio mastering is finished and I listened to it again, I like it even more and felt happy.
— Heart experiences a stifling ache when singing to the lyrics of this song
YH : The lyrics I wrote are often based on my own experiences or from the story of people around me, however this song is for a person who is experiencing a hard time. I wrote it while thinking about a person who is facing a hardship in life.
— What do you do, when you are in tough situation?
YH : I will sleep to relax
MH : I will listen to music, have a walk on my own, or think about other things
JS : I will sleep too, when I woke up I have forgotten about it (laugh). If that fail, I will exercise mind control and overcome that weak feeling!
JH : I will listen to music , or exercise, try to do everything that I can. Hmm, … if all fails, then I’ll stop doing it all (laugh)
(X) The members don’t get along…?
— Please tell us about the PV
JS : Mirrors are used in the PV this time, but because I am surrounded by mirrors when filming, I feel dizzy (laugh)
JH : The PV’s concept is about “searching for oneself”, so mirrors are used to reflect oneself, or to search for someone in it.
— In the lyrics there is ”輝ける場所” (a place you will shine at/in)* , so for CNBLUE, where will you shine?
JH : at LIVE performances
MH : Unlike when recording or practice, we get more power from audiences’ enthusiasm.
YH : Forget everything and immerse in this place
— Watching the live performance, I had the feeling that every member gets along very well
YH : (Acting cool on purpose) No, we do not get along
All 4 : “Hahahahaha”
JS : We live together, so we really get along well
— A good relationship has a good influence on a band’s activities
JH : I think so too, from the sound we make
YH : You can feel it in our live performances especially
— Lastly, please tell us about your goals in 2012
MH : I would like to do a lot of LIVE performances, and the goal is, someday we will stand on Tokyo Dome’s stage. We will work hard for it.
JS : Similar to 2011, I hope that in 2012 we can accumulate all sorts of experience, sell more albums and receive support from more people
The boys are so funny, entertaining and hardworking. I’m sure 2012 has a lot more in store for them. FIGHTING!
